Here is an example, that gets the last 3 characters from a name string:
string name = "pearson";string lastThree = name.Substring(name.Length-3);Console.WriteLine(lastThree);
Output:
son
In the example above, we have passed name.Length-3 as arguments to the Substring() method. So it starts the extraction at index position name.Length-3, and extract the rest of a string.
